Happy Friday everyone! Guess what? I have decided to start a Friday tradition. I saw this idea (and super cute button) on this blog and figured it’s a great way to keep track of how my favorite things change from week to week. So here we go!
Favorite Song: Brandon Heath “Your Love”
Zeb told me about this song yesterday and I have been listening to it on repeat ever since. Not only do I love the melody and the beat, but the words are great, too. They’re very simple but filled with truth. Check it out by clicking on the title above. You won’t regret it.
Favorite Person: Lauren Conrad.
I absolutely adore Lauren Conrad. I’ve watched every episode of The Hills, read all of her books, and check her blog almost every day. (She does Friday Favorites, too. What a coincidence!) Go ahead…call me obsessed. But she is just so cute! I recently bought her style book and it is full of great ideas and tips. Check it out for yourself!
Favorite Flower: Sunflowers
I just can’t get enough. At the moment I have sunflowers as my computer desktop at work and as my iPod background. I’m also thinking about using sunflowers in my wedding (Don't worry...it’ll be a while before I get married…but you know how girls like to plan these things). Right now I’m thinking a single, long stem yellow sunflower for each of the bridesmaids and a bouquet of different colored sunflowers for the bride. What do you think?
This bouquet includes orange dahlias, sunflowers and sunset-colored roses. |
Favorite Movie: “Water for Elephants”
If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you are missing out! I saw this with Kristen for a break during finals week and we fell in love. Not only was the story line great, but Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson weren’t too shabby either. I have yet to read the book but I bet it is just as good (if not better) than the movie. As of right now, I’m number 64 on the waiting list at my library. People need to read faster!!
Kristen took a picture of this ad in Spain. Looks just as good in Spanish! |
Favorite Verse: Psalm 9:10b
I shared this in the last post but it’s still my favorite at the moment. Beth Moore shared it on her blog on Tuesday. It’s very short, but so full of hope and promise. I love how the Bible can get your attention with just a few words!
The verse as posted in Beth's kitchen. |
So there you go…a few of my favorite things! Side note: That makes me think of “The Sound of Music”, which just happens to be another one of my favorite movies. Gotta love Julie Andrews!
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
