So today was my first full day in a Kindergarten classroom!
Let's just say I am exhausted.
I don't know how they do it...I could never teach that age.
Second or third grade is more my style.
Despite the fact that this isn't my favorite, I'm still really looking forward to the semester.
I love my teachers and the students are really sweet, even if they are so young.
What I'm most looking forward to are the conversations I'll be having.
Here's a sneak preview of what's to come:
Student: How old are you?
Me: 21.
S: Oh wow! Have you ever had a baby?
Me: No silly! I'm not married!
S: Oh okay. Where do babies come from?
Me: Sooo how many brothers and sisters do you have?
*******
Student: Do you have a boyfriend?
Me: No ma'am I do not.
S: Well I know an older boy and he was just telling me he was looking for a Ms. Sarah.
Me: Oh really?! Send him my way.
Adorable. The second one is my favorite :-D! Too funny.
ReplyDeletehaha thats too cute!
ReplyDeleteWhen I did my kindergarten internship last year, they asked me how old I was too. When I said 17, they asked me if I was married and who my husband was. It's too cute how they have zero concept of age. Haha
