The Rest of Ireland

Our last day involved A LOT of walking. I think we walked about six miles.
This actually turned out to be the norm for us...we rarely used public transportation.

We started off our day with a walk to Kilmainham Gaol, the old prison where many of the Irish rebels were imprisoned and executed. It's a little off the beaten path but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

After that, we just walked all around the city. Such a great place to begin our trip!

This band below (Tumbling Bones) is from Maine. We listened to them for a few minutes and Rachel went up to buy their CD. We got to talk to them for a while and they were really great. Such talented guys.

We ended our day on the steps of the chapel right inside Trinity College. It was so quiet and peaceful...a great place to sit, talk, and journal for a bit. were great. I will hopefully be back. Next stop: Edinburgh!!
